Just Say No
When the guy asked if I could do it, my inner voice had stern warnings - you don’t have the time, necessary skills or drive see this through. But I wanted to help, so I took the job anyway. Of course, my inner voice was right. It always is. End result: a weekend wasted in frustration and a job not done. Fortunately, he was cool about it. No harm done. Lesson learnt. Next time, I’ll just say no!
