Lyrics

He nurses a bottle as his wive cries a flood
She’s trying to hold on to the man she once loved
But he can’t see the tears through the grave colored glass
He is to submersed in pains from his past

chorus
But you can’t drown the sorrow
Of a life that’s gone all wrong
‘Cause once you sober up again
The pain is ten times strong
So when you say this drink
Is gonna be your last
Just think of all the pain that’s caused
By this grave colored glass

He cannot comprehend that drinking won’t get him far
With a beer in his hand he gets into his car
And he speeds down slippery roads
Then he looses control
And the pain that was just in his head is now very real

chorus
But you can’t drown the sorrow
Of a life that’s gone all wrong
‘Cause once you sober up again
The pain is ten times strong
So when you say this drink
Is gonna be your last
Just think of all the pain that’s caused
By this grave colored glass
